Located in Commack, Fountaingate Gardens’ central location offers easy access to north and south shore beaches, the Hamptons, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, via the Northern State Parkway, Long Island Expressway and Sunken Meadow/Sagtikos Parkway, all less than 2 miles from our campus.  

For jet-setters, Long Island MacArthur Airport is less than a 20-minute drive; and less than 15 minutes away are two Long Island Rail Road stations—Huntington and Deer Park— enabling easy excursions to Manhattan’s Broadway shows or to Montauk’s famous lighthouse and sandy beaches.

Easy for Family and Friends to Visit: Travel is easy with the Long Island MacArthur Airport, Deer Park Train Station, and Huntington Train Station nearby.  Visitors coming from Connnecticut, Rhode Island or other areas to the north of Long Island? The Port Jefferson ferry is just over 30 minutes east of Fountaingate Gardens in Port Jefferson.

From the Long Island Expressway

  • Traveling East: Long Island Expressway to exit 52 North (Commack Road).
  • Traveling West: Long Island Expressway to exit 53; stay on the service road to the first traffic light.
  • Make a right onto Commack Road.
  • Continue north on Commack Road, under Northern State Parkway, past The Hamlet Golf and Country Club on the left, to Hauppauge Road. Commack Library is on the corner.
  • Turn left; we are approximately 1/4 mile down on the right (the first Gurwin building).

From the Northern State Parkway

  • Traveling East: Northern State Parkway to exit 43 (Commack Road). At the traffic light, make a left onto Vanderbilt Parkway. At the next light, make a left onto Commack Road.
  • Traveling West: Northern State Parkway to exit 43 (Commack Road). Make a left onto Commack Road.
  • Continue north on Commack Road, past The Hamlet Golf and Country Club on the left, to Hauppauge Road. Commack Library is on the corner.
  • Turn left; we are approximately 1/4 mile down on the right (the first Gurwin building).
